By ordering, you agree to accept all liability for bodily harm or death.

Strict cleaning is required to strip away all natural alkaloids. We recommend several stages of washing with hot water, and a filtering stage to remove the excess plant matter. Even when all caution is completed, we recommend using the minimum number of seeds required for your creation. Tread carefully and respect nature. 

If you cannot perform these careful cleanings, either due to handicap or laziness, then we ask you to clear your shopping cart and leave this site.

Note: bodily dependence is a type of bodily harm.

The buyer assumes all liability for the product. Store your ingredients safely if you cannot immediately take the steps to prepare them for human consumption.

Any atypical consumption methods, like an alkaloid tea, is both discouraged and against the law. Do not do this, and do not talk to us about it. Trying to receive customer service for this is akin to trying to get a refund for a belt that snapped as a rope.

Force Majeure.

We are not liable for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these Terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control ("Force Majeure Event"). This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters (such as floods, earthquakes, storms, or hurricanes), war, terrorism, labor disputes, pandemics, government restrictions, utility failures, or failures of shipping carriers.

If a Force Majeure Event occurs that affects our ability to fulfill your order, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and take steps to minimize the impact. Our obligations under these Terms will be suspended for the duration of the event.

Product Shortages.

Supplies are limited and we should not be counted on to consistently supply seeds. We may have stretches where our suppliers are late to deliver, or when we simply underestimate demand. Please purchase with the future in mind. It is wise to stay a week or two ahead of your needs.

Be aware that we typically keep two to three times as much product as the site (rayspackage.com) may indicate, needing only to be bagged up and prepared to be dropped at the Post Office. We will prepare them as needed, and we are doing our utmost to keep up with our growing customer base.

Contact.

We will try to return contact as soon as possible, but be aware that we are human and may miss you. Formulate your messages carefully. Supply order numbers and relevant information. But, be aware that we do not endorse or condone misuse of our products. Mind your terms, language, and be respectful.

Product Quality.

What distinguishes our product from common bulk poppy seeds is the incredible quantity of natural plant matter and the lack of processing. Seeds you buy from us will possess a very rustic quality, ideal for display in mason jars. They will have a strong aroma that may even smell paint-like or 'off'. A slight sour taste may set off alarm bells, but that's actually a small inclusion of ascorbic acid, about 5 grams per 4 pounds of product, which prevents both mold and bacterial growth to extend the shelf life of our product an additional 6-12 months beyond the year-long minimum best by date customers expect. Opening the product to the air will affect this expiration date. Oxygen feeds microbial life and will contribute to spoiling.

In short, there is no scenario in which our seeds will arrive spoiled. Sometimes it just takes some adjustment to acclimate to a new product, or a modification to the cleaning techniques utilized in preparing your seeds.

The ascorbic acid does not count as 'processing' by our definition. Actual processing would include radiation, heat, and washing meant to remove alkaloidal contamination and will impact the nutty, original flavors we preserved. Our seeds are inspected and processed in batches of about ten bags. We are very particular about what we will sell. This is a premium price point and our customers deserve a premium product.

Leave the product sealed in a cool, dry place like a cupboard. Any claims that we seem to make are purely subjective, and aren't meant to be taken as fact. Our seeds are an ingredient for cooking and baking, and not meant to be utilized for any other purposes.

Fulfillment

We aim to fulfill orders the day you order, where possible.

For those that make multiple orders in a short span, be aware that we MAY group your orders into a single package and supply a single tracking number for both orders. This is deliberate, and we will utilize any extra shipping costs to pay for a larger package size or put it towards future handling costs. In short, consider any excess between the flat rate cost and the real cost in our favor to be a handling fee.

You can contact USPS, or use your own scale, to verify the weight of your package in the event that you are unsure whether you really received the quantity you paid for.

We HAVE received a claim regarding this confusion, and a penalty charge. You should contact us FIRST if you have a question or do not believe you received what you paid for. A Chargeback-first response damages our business and can increase costs due to penalties imposed by Visa/Mastercard.

We reserve the right to cancel an order for any reason.
